The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the VP of Merchandise Planning & Pricing Strategy at Qurate, Inc., this role will shape and execute strategic pricing and assortment strategies across all platforms, ensuring alignment with financial targets and market demands. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will leverage advanced analytics to optimize pricing, inventory productivity, and promotional profitability. This position demands strong analytical and leadership skills and provides a unique opportunity to influence key business decisions and drive profitability within a leading retail organization.

Your Impact

Lead the development, implementation, and communication of effective pricing strategies.

Utilize advanced analytics to enhance all aspects of merchandising, planning, and pricing initiatives.

Optimize processes to improve assortment rationalization, inventory productivity, and promotional profitability.

Provide actionable insights and recommendations to cross-functional partners.

Communicate strategies and analysis to drive profitability and influence business outcomes.

Set the strategic direction for the company’s assortment plans.

Leverage analysis of trends, product and brand performance, and inventory to provide business insights.

Manage the overall assortment to ensure it meets financial targets.

Collaborate with Planning and Merchandising Leads to share insights and drive sales and inventory management.

Schedule and lead pre-market overview meetings to review assortment plan recommendations.

Conduct post-market buy reviews to ensure the assortment meets financial targets.

Communicate finalized assortment plans to key departments including Merchandising, Planning, Digital Commerce, Inventory Management, Marketing, and Forecasting.

Develop and implement processes for assortment plans, business reviews, and product line reviews.

Integrate these processes to enable better decision-making and faster collaboration across key stakeholders.

Lead and mentor the team, recognizing and rewarding contributions.

Communicate performance goals, opportunities, and standards clearly to the staff.

Maintain regular communication to ensure focus, direction, and urgency where needed.

Conduct, effective performance reviews and development planning.

What You Bring

Bachelor’s degree required.

10 years of business experience, including at least 5 years in a management role, leading a highly analytical and data-intensive team.Experience in retail, planning, or merchandising.Ability to lead projects effectively and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.Strong analytical skills, including experience in statistical analysis, data mining, and financial analysis.Capability to influence stakeholders at all levels.Ability to maintain complex spreadsheets and business modeling, with familiarity or experience in tools such as SQL, Python, or Tableau.Customer-focused mindset.
