Dir-Digital Commerce - Item and Content

Your Impact
The Director Digital Commerce, Item and Content will lead a team, within their assigned area of strategic focus, ensuring that the platform is always ready to support business operations, while ensuring a seamless customer experience for the DIY and Pro customer. They are responsible for developing processes and identifying the best tools to maximize productivity derived from both global and self-identified initiatives. This role will have end to end ownership of product content strategy, ratings and reviews, customer Q&A, social commerce and Item optimization with partnerships that may include strategic suppliers, Enterprise Item Content, IT, Marketing, other segments of Digital Commerce Operations, Analytics, Category Optimization, Brand Advocates, and Merchandising. This role will draw on operations experience, managing workflow across the entire team, own and author business reviews of the team processes, while managing priorities against customer and associate impact to deliver results. This leader will drive synergies between the various functions of his/her team as well as external stakeholders, with specific focus on key cross-functional partners at the senior leadership level to gain alignment on planned initiatives and ensure mid to long-term strategies and tactics are being supported and engaged within the Digital Channel.

What You Will Do

Defines strategy, direction for Product Content, User Generated Content and Item management while overseeing implementation of efficient processes and timelines for teams; drives process improvements where needed.

Work in partnership with Marketing, Merchandising, Digital Category teams to leverage corporate strategies to optimize inbound traffic levers as well as site monetization efforts with the intent to increase customer and product engagement.

Accountable for on-time and accurate execution of business and tech project requests.

Embrace changing business and stakeholder needs and industry trends to evolve the product content and item strategy, refine operations, and develop and grow capabilities to enhance business value and maintain a happy and healthy team.

Ensures cross-functional partners are aligned and accountable to adhering to content and operational standards and timelines to assure peak operational efficiency; drives process improvements where needed.

Provide strategic, customer-focused direction and decision making for all product category content standards, social commerce engagement mechanics, ratings & review cultivation, and item ecosystem enhancements. Sets the north star for the teams work as well as the strategy of how to achieve those goals.

Responsible for the internal and external tools, services and platforms utilized by the team to execute their work.

Ensures release support is executed within defined processes and timelines; drives process improvements where needed.

Effectively organize and communicate optimal processes to improve Digital Category, Merchant, and Vendor productivity.

Accountable for release sign-off and readiness by providing release go/no-go decisions for releases and change requests; recognizes and accounts for omni-channel dependencies and potential impacts.

Develop and manage a global team that operates both within US and India.

Build standards for Analyst and Manager development. Set targets for success in role as well as cultivate talent for growth within the team. Work closely with other Directors to build cross departmental opportunities for development.


Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, User Experience, Retail Operations or other related field.

10 Years Experience in a combination of content management/strategy, as well as, proven experience in 2 or more of the following: user experience, creative design, project management, product management, business analysis, program management, retail merchandising, online or product marketing.

6 Years Demonstrated delivery of business results and people leadership in driving customer value through improving the customer content ecosystem.


Preferred Qualifications:

MBA or Master's Degree in equivalent advanced field.

5 Years Retail/Online/Ecommerce experience.
