Institutional Securities Technology (IST) develops and oversees the overall technology strategy and bespoke technology solutions to drive and enable the institutional businesses and enterprise-wide functions. IST’s ‘clients’ include Fixed Income, Equities, Commodities, Investment Banking, Research, Prime Brokerage and Global Capital Markets.
ESTAR
Develops trading & Analytics platform for IST, structured OTC Trading, Market Making & risk platform for IED
Software Engineering
This is a senior developer position for Onboarding and Regulatory platform. You are required to be a technologist with solid command on distributed development tools and tech-stack - primarily Java and Java based web-development, angular, databases, frameworks for enterprise system development, enterprise integration patterns, cloud focused architecture and tools.

What you’ll do in the role:
1.Communicate regularly with product leads across the technology organization and discuss opportunities for improvement to existing and future technology solutions.
2.Build high-quality technology solutions enforcing strong engineering standards and best practices.
3.Lead the end-to-end software development lifecycle, from requirement gathering to deployment and maintenance.
4.Re-architect core components with modern architecture and design focusing on high availability, resiliency, and scalability.
5.Engage with business stakeholders to review progress and gather feedback on initiatives.
6.Conduct regular code reviews to maintain high-quality coding standards.
What you’ll bring to the role:
1.Ability to effectively manage multiple functions or guide junior staff and initiatives.
2.Advanced understanding of business line and discipline with some knowledge of competitive environment and other disciplines.
3.8-12 years of experience in application development
4.Hands-on Java and open-source server-side technologies development experience.
5.Strong problem solving and analytical skills with in depth knowledge of Data Structures/Algorithms
6.Strong fundamentals of domain/event/message driven architecture and REST services
7.Hands on experience with modern distributed technologies such as messaging brokers (e.g. IBM MQ, Apache Kafka) and distributed caching solutions (e.g. Hazelcast)
8.Strong application design and object-oriented skills
9.Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and experience with RDBMS providers like Sybase, MSSQL, etc
10.Experience with agile development principles, and DevOps adoption of CI/CD/CM.
11.Excellent verbal and written communication skills
12.At least 6 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
