Work Designation. Depending on your location within the continental US, this role may be hybrid or remote.
If you live within 50 miles of the Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA or Columbia, SC, this role will be hybrid. This means you will be expected to work in the office for at least 60% of the work week. You will work from your home (within the continental US) for the remaining portion of the work week. Details of this schedule will be discussed with your leadership. If you live more than 50 miles from the Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA or Columbia, SC, this role will be remote. This means you will be expected to work from your home, within the continental US. If the role is remote, there may be occasions that you are requested to come to the office based on business need. Any requests to come to the office would be communicated with you in advance.

Strong finance and accounting skills Strong knowledge of short-term capital markets, business cash flow, and cash management strategies Thorough understanding of short term investments Strong knowledge and understanding of the organization's investment and risk policies Strong understanding of investment grade debt markets and interest rate swap analysis Strong understanding of financial modeling, reporting, and financial metrics Excellent quantitative and analytical skills Knowledge of employee relations to conduct and deal with employee issues in a proactive manner Proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office suite software
Education & Experience Required
Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field 10 years of professional job related work experience, 5 years management experienceOr an equivalent combination of education and experience

MBA Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation

Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Directs team producing Long-Term Cash Flow Forecast and making Short-Term Investment decisions for holding company Leads holding company investment activity across asset classes in compliance with investment policies, procedures, and risk framework Optimizes holding company net investment income with capital preservation within prudent risk framework; Practices strong risk management skills in managing holding company liquidity Provides close oversight and management of separately managed accounts and represents Aflac with key banking partnerships Leads Treasury’s ESG and Impact investing efforts Leads Treasury’s Tax Credit investment efforts, both State and Federal Maintains short-term investment policy and seeks continual improvements; Documents and maps short-term investment processes, recommends improvements, monitors policies and procedures for compliance; Identifies long-term process improvement strategies Owns asset allocation strategy in the context of cash flow forecast and risk framework Works with Treasury Management to ensure appropriate recording, reporting and settlement of all purchases; Serves as a liaison with Investment Accounting for proper accounting treatment of investments Develops and presents a variety of presentations to Treasury, CFO, CRO, broader risk organizations, and senior management including global committees Manages share repurchase program strategy and execution Leads partnerships with stakeholders to support team in producing timely and quality LTCFF, including Tax, FP&A, Investment Accounting, Legal, Government Relations, Statutory Reporting, Financial Modeling, and Global Investments teams Oversees liquidity sensitivity modeling and stress testing relative to operating subsidiary dividend flows and holding company liquidity and capital deployment activity; Partner with Global Risk organization and related teams to report on key risks Oversees management of all regulatory dividend flows and monitors internal compliance Manages internal dividend policies and continued process improvements with the LTCFF Assists in the development of internal controls and risk management for the corporate finance function in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Develops Treasury staff to enhance bench strength by providing guidance on best practices and leads departmental training Assists in debt capital raising process in an effort to minimize interest expense Ensures proper redundancies to processes and personnel Performs other corporate finance related duties as required

This compensation range is specific to the job level and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Aflac at the time of the posting. Compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case. This salary range does not include any potential incentive pay or benefits, however, such information will be provided separately when appropriate. The salary range for this position is $117,000 - $267,000.
