Dining Room Attendant

The Hilton Atlanta Northeast is on the hunt for a friendly and realiable evening Dining Room Attendant.  The main role of the Dining Room Attendant is to run food from the kitchen to the guest dining tables in the Restaurant, esnuring that each plate is completed up to standards each time.  The Dinng Room Attendant assists with bussing tables, cleaning and wiping tables and chairs, restocking condiments in the kitchen for the expo line, and maintaining a clean working area.  If there is an evening buffet, the Dining Room Attendant would setup, mainitain, and breakdown the buffet. 

This is a part time position starting at $15/hr.  In order to be successfull in the role, one would need to be trained in food handling, be comfortable learning and knowing the food menu at all times, and be able to learn the floor chart with table numbers.  One would also need to be available between the hours of 5pm - 10pm three to five nights a week, depending on business needs.  Must be flexible with scheduling. 


Overview:

The Restaurant Dining Room Attendant will assist server in providing quality food and beverage service to guests courteously and efficiently. He/she will maintain cleanliness of tables, service areas and equipment. This position will stock all wares and equipment needed for service.

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Wipe tables or seats with dampened cloths or replace dirty tablecloths. Set tables with clean linens, condiments, or other supplies. Scrape and stack dirty dishes and carry dishes and other tableware to kitchens for cleaning. Clean up spilled food or drink or broken dishes and remove empty bottles and trash. Perform serving, cleaning, or stocking duties in establishments, such as cafeterias or dining rooms, to facilitate customer service. Maintain adequate supplies of items such as clean linens, silverware, glassware, dishes, or trays. Serve ice water, coffee, rolls, or butter to patrons. Fill beverage or ice dispensers. Stock cabinets or serving areas with condiments and refill condiment containers. Locate items requested by customers. Carry food, dishes, trays, or silverware from kitchens or supply departments to serving counters. Serve food to customers when waiters or waitresses need assistance. Clean and polish counters, shelves, walls, furniture, or equipment in food service areas or other areas of restaurants and mop or vacuum floors. Carry trays from food counters to tables for cafeteria patrons. Replenish supplies of food or equipment at steam tables or service bars. Wash glasses or other serving equipment at bars. Carry linens to or from laundry areas. Stock refrigerating units with wines or bottled beer or replace empty beer kegs. 

Education and Experience:

High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): or Work EquivalentMinimum 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages (if applicable).Good understanding of the English language, while being able to effectively communicate with the guests.Previous experience in a similar position desired.
