A local assisted living facility is hiring a full-time and part-time Dining Room Assistants to join their busy team. Essential Functions and Duties: Learn and follow food service routines and dietary procedures quickly and efficiently Set up meal trays and assist with serving meals to residents Strip returned trays, operate the dishwasher, and monitor dishwasher water temperature and chlorine concentration Prepare snacks and nourishments as directed Clean work surfaces, refrigerators, and leave the kitchen in a sanitary condition at the end of each shift, including sweeping and moping kitchen and dining area floors, and taking out trash and garbage in a timely manner Store groceries in a clean, safe, and organized manner Participate in the orientation and ongoing training of dietary staff
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Previous experience in a food service or healthcare setting preferred but not required Must obtain and maintain a valid Food Handlers' Certificate Ability to read and follow recipes and technical instructions Basic understanding of fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions for practical kitchen use Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form Ability to pass a background screening Ability to lift up to 50lbs and to be on feet all day Sun-Sat availability – weekends and holidays
