Job Description

The Digital Technology Visualization Manager’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Work collaboratively within our core Digital Technology team Western region to strategize, implement, and leverage visualization technologies as well other related leading-edge methodologies to secure the advancement and continuous innovation of our digital project delivery.Schedule and meet with Project Executive, Project Manager, Marketing, and organizational leadership, to successfully lead and assist project pursuit efforts.Generate 3D site logistic renderings and 4D animation utilizing digital applications including Enscape, Adobe Illustrator, After Effects and Media Encoder, Infraworks, Synchro, Revit, RTV Tools, SketchUp, Near Map, and Google Earth integrations.Lead and assist with RFP response strategy; generate creative solutions to showcase AECOM Hunt’s industry-leading capabilities.Lead workshop-type meetings in developing RFP “books” and responses.Lead initiatives in leveraging visualization technologies to elevate project coordination and delivery.Generate digital technology visualization training programs including AR, VR, MR, and reality capture, and how to leverage the same on and off project sites.Set up 3D model-based projects for effective communication and coordination during project start-up while collaborating with the project team to ensure the project is optimized by including new technological advancements.Support other digital technologies as required by the project; generate BIM 4D sequencing, 3D visualization, synthesize 360 reality capture and laser scanning; assist in data extraction from drone technologies and translate digital data into relevant and useful information.Provide leadership and coaching to junior Digital Technology team members to guide their development of critical industry knowledge and technology advancement. This mentoring will aid in their growth and prepare them to be self-sustaining on future projects.Lead and oversee project pursuit kickoff meetings in partnership with Project Executives, Marketing, and Business Development teams.Participate in and manage the development of presentations, including the creation of animations and images for proposals and marketing materials.Further integrate visualization technologies in AECOM Hunt’s project delivery workflow.Client-focused and keen on AEC/O industry’s technological advancement including BIM & VDC, Visualization & Reality Capture (Digital Spatial Intelligence), Digital Delivery, Data Insight & AI; AECOM Hunt’s Digital Technology team

The Digital Technology Visualization & Reality Capture Manager leads the implementation and use of building and construction visualization technologies including augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and mixed reality (MR), collectively known as extended reality or XR, as well as other 3D applications and platforms such as Unreal Engine and Twinmotion, Enscape, Infraworks, Adobe Creative Suite, Autodesk design and construction suite including ACC, Revit, etc., as well as advanced reality capture technologies utilizing drones and cloud-based applications and platforms including DroneDeploy, etc., to provide our project team with digital spatial intelligence for detecting issues before they reach the field and tracking deviation and project progress – to continually support and elevate the delivery of AECOM Hunt’s world-renowned projects.

The primary duties of this role are to lead the Design Technology team’s business development efforts through the creation of, but not limited to, RFP response packages which include 3D site logistics and 4D animations to showcase AECOM Hunt’s advanced capabilities and industry-leading construction delivery methodology; partner with marketing and executives in support of project pursuits efforts; lead reality capture technology initiatives to elevate effective data-driven communication and provide digital spatial intelligence to be fully leveraged; lead the creation of assets, resources, and collaterals for training initiatives; lead training initiatives in leveraging visualization and reality capture technologies in the field; identify “the next level” by continually leveraging leading-edge technologies in full support of our pursuit of perpetual innovation. This role is based in our Phoenix, Arizona office, with strategic home/remote work flexibility.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirement:

BA/BS + 10 years of relevant AEC industry visualization technology experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 4 years of leading and managing a team.Must be creative and a storyteller.Requires 25% business travel.

Preferred Requirements:

Strong verbal and graphic communication skillsStrong organizational skills; possess the ability to be agile in leading multiple projectsBasic understanding of BIM and VDC software and platform including ACC and ProcoreSelf-motivated and can work independently or within a teamStrong understanding of construction documents and can accurately interpret printsPossess technical knowledge of commercial building design and documentationStrong skills in marketing/sales for the purpose of pursuing new work and effectively communicating technical information to operationsUnderstands data visualization utilizing Power BI, Tableau, etc.; can easily deep dive and understand applications and platforms APIs to extract and sanitize data in a visualization dashboard format.
