Basic salary range £25,000 - £30,000 with pension, critical illness pay, life assurance, 23 days holiday (plus bank holidays)

Position Summary

Reporting to the Head of Digital Partnerships & Paid Media, the Digital Marketing Specialist (Paid Media) 

Supporting and engaging in digital marketing activities for our consumer facing brands including Evans Halshaw, Stratstone, Jardine Motors (pre migration), Quickco and Pendragon Vehicle Management

Helping to maximize the business return on our digital marketing activity, Supporting the day-to-day digital marketing requirements of the business, including campaigns and online advertising across new car, used car aftersales and fleet

Leading on specific projects in your area of digital expertise, mentoring junior members of the team,

Position Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Day to day paid search agency management, including co-ordination with the business to meet campaign & business requirements   Assisting with budget management across paid media, including paid search, paid social and advertising partnerships.   Supporting the Head of Paid Media in paid media strategy, agency management, co-ordination and analysis.   Analysing the performance of paid media spend, including paid search, paid social and 3rd party advertisers.  Working with our paid search agency to identify areas for improvement to meet identified business needs  Paid search, paid social and display advertising campaign development, co-ordination and reporting.  Hands-on paid media execution where required (note most or/all paid search campaign execution will be performed by the agency), for example in the area of paid social.    Working with our Website & E-Commerce team to optimize user journeys and conversion for paid media.   Reviewing the performance of our 3rd party advertising partners and advising on dealership presentation, messaging and product packages   Optimizing vehicle advertising across 3rd party advertisers and aggregators, including but not limited to Autotrader, Car Wow, eBay Motors and Car Gurus.  Vehicle new and used stock merchandising and presentation, including photography and video.  Vehicle advertising stock feed support.   Quality assurance for paid media & vehicle advertising, including hands-on checks where required and the development and deployment of tools and processes to improve quality and business return.  Digital asset creation and adaptation for campaigns.  Development and deployment of AI tools for digital marketing Measuring performance and working to achieve against our defined digital KPIs.  Conducting research and staying abreast of new developments in your digital area of expertise, both within and outside the automotive sector.  Working with and co-ordinating external suppliers and agencies.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

3+ years’ experience of working within digital marketing.  2+ years’ experience of tools and platforms relevant to your areas(s) of digital expertise.   Comfortable working across all the key digital marketing channels; websites, mobile, social media, paid and organic search, video and online advertising.  A passion for all things digital. A strong desire to learn, create, contribute & innovate.  Comfortable manipulating, analysing and visualizing data.  An ability to work effectively with others, and to build productive, collaborative relationships across departments and with third parties.   Highly organised, with an ability to work to deadlines, and to plan and prioritise short and long-term tasks effectively.  An eye for detail and an unrelenting desire for quality; for example, when reviewing website content, paid search ads, or vehicle listings on 3rd party advertisers.
