The Digital / Linear Sales Manager oversees the Local Sales Team in Digital & Local broadcast sales efforts and reports directly to the Director of Sales.
Key Responsibilities:
Leads and motivates the Local Sales Team, driving performance and accountabilityDevelop and execute sales strategies to exceed revenue goals across Digital, Local Direct, New Local Direct and Transactional BusinessChampion Digital knowledge and innovation across Nexstar Digital products and stay ahead of industry evolution (sample products include but not limited to: Streaming, Pre-roll, Display, Social, Email, Search)Oversee local revenue forecasting, inventory, and budgetingTrain and develop top sales talent, recognize strengths and opportunities to growFoster solid client relationships and highly visible in the community Strong in driving new business development in Digital and in LinearProblem solver, strong in collaborating and resolving client challengesHelps to determine inventory, pricing and drives demand and ratesCreate value and position pieces based on growth and trendsPerforms other duties as assignedRequirements & Skills:
Bachelor’s in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or similarMinimum 3 years’ experience managing and 5 years’ experience in Media salesAbility to coach, listen, understand and effectively lead a team Excellent communication skills, both oral and writtenExperience motivating a team, setting performance standards and monitoring performanceAbility to set clear goals and identify the strategies and actions to achieve themCan identify growth opportunities of team members and hone those skillsStrong Digital knowledge and desire to continue to learn and grow this part of the businessStrong understanding of Media Math, Market Share, RTGs/IMPsCan build compelling presentations and proposalsValid driver’s license with an acceptable driving recordProficiency with Microsoft Office suite, Wide Orbit, ComScore, Matrix, or similar CRM as well as business and broadcast software programs
