Digital Hardware Engineer - Entry

We are hiring an Entry Digital Hardware Engineer to join our Digital team based in Austin, Texas. As a Digital Hardware Engineer, you will enjoy challenging work across multiple business areas, the unique opportunity to take ownership of your products, and be involved in all aspects of the product development cycle - including design, prototyping, development, testing, and manufacturing production.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Learn professional techniques and perform tasks for one or more of these areas: schematic design, board layout, board validation, or FPGA programming Work and interact with a wide variety of T&M staff in R&D hardware and software organizations Develop hardware and software solutions for design validation Perform research as required to complete your projects Diagnose and debug technical challenges

Who You Are: 

You are someone who works collaboratively in a group environment and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills. You take initiative, can be resourceful, and can make progress on work independently. You take ownership of your goals, regularly check-in, and ask questions in a timely manner to ensure success of project and tasks. 

For this Role, You Will Need:

Bachelor’s in Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering, or similar STEM-related field Proficiency designing with digital logic and synchronous elements, including flip-flops, timing diagrams, and state machines  Proficiency with FPGA design using HDL (VHDL, Verilog, or System Verilog preferred) Fundamental knowledge of:  Computer architectures and interfaces Software programming languages (e.g. python, C, LabVIEW) Analog circuit design
