Digital Finance Transformation Lead

Job Description:

The role of the Digital Finance Transformation Lead is to set an ambitious vision for our digital future and design the platforms, products, initiatives, capabilities and organization we will need to get there.

This role will collaborate closely with the CFO, CIO and senior-level stakeholders of the Mars Snacking-segment, driving strategic digital transformation initiatives within the finance function with a view of creating a future-back, best-in-class finance organization governed by the principles of efficiency, agility, connectivity and data democratization.

This is a leadership role for self-motivated individuals who can drive the vision for complex digital transformation programs while overseeing the execution and governance of multiple digital initiatives, adhering to budgets and ensuring high-ROI outcomes.

What are we looking for?

Credibility, experience and expertise to drive end-to-end Finance Digitalization for large enterprise. With a blend of Finance functional experience (across all finance areas, including FP&A, forecasting, operational finance and core accounting systems) and digital expertise (Automation, AI, GenAI, Predictive Analytics, etc.), you'll possess the ability to think strategically, while driving tangible outcomes for a future-ready finance organization.

You'll be equipped with a blend of finance and IT expertise with a proven record of successfully implementing digital solutions, optimising financial processes and enabling data-driven decision making. Fiscally prudent and value-focused with an eye toward delivering platforms and products that drive clear and measurable returns on investment.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree / BA / BS in finance, accounting, information systems or a related field,

Advanced degree eg MBA desirable but not essential.

Certifications:

Professional certification preferred e.g. CPA, MBA, CFA, ACA etc.

What will be your key responsibilities?

Strategy: Create a robust, future oriented digital finance strategy based on market leading practices,

Collaboration: Partner with the CFO and finance leadership team to develop a comprehensive digitalisation roadmap aligned with the organisations objectives,

Process Optimisation: Identify opportunities to streamline and automate finance processes through the implementation of digital tools and technologies,

New Capabilities: Identify new / futuristics capabilities for MARS snacking finance team, implement steps to build / acquire these new capabilities including change and skills development for the team,

Technology Evaluation: Evaluate existing and emerging financial technologies to assess their suitability for business requirements and impact on the finance function and collaborate with IT and procurement to select and manage third party vendors,

Deliver Outcomes: Be responsible for executing the roadmap through various transformational initiatives and deliver tangible outcome, including measurable ROI, as planned,

Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments e.g. IT, strategy, procurement to identify opportunities for cross-functional synergy and integration,

Continuous Improvement: Stay ahead of industry trends and best practice in finance and IT, proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the finance function,

Project Governance: Review business cases for proposed and ongoing digital projects and pressure test for fit against strategy, feasibility and expected returns on investment.

Key Skills Required

Strong understanding of finance processes, systems and best practices with experience in financial planning and analysis, accounting and reporting,

Demonstrated ability to use digital finance tools and technologies to drive corporate value through the finance function,

Strategic problem solver with ability to translate complex business requirements into practical IT solutions,

Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing projects from initial stage to completion,

Strong communication and presentation skills,

Ability to build influential partnerships with multiple stakeholders,

Proficiency in evaluating, selecting, and implementing financial software solutions such as ERP systems, financial planning tools and business intelligence platforms,

Strong understanding of compliance with regulations and industry standards, to secure financial data and implement appropriate cybersecurity,

Experience in assessing financial impact of digital tools, including investment requirements and forecasted financial benefits.
