The role 
As a Digital Engineer, you will play a pivotal role on a wide variety of projects within energy, defence and infrastructure sectors. You will accomplish a range of objectives for BIM, information management and digital services and help shape the strategy for Babcock’s digital future. 

 

Day-to-day, you’ll be responsible for working on BIM and digital tasks with the Digital Engineering team, design disciplines and other project stakeholders. This will include ensuring that data meets project standards, clash and coordination checking and managing asset data delivery. You’ll also be involved with:

 

Project & information management: Ensuring our projects are delivered to ISO19650 standards or to project-specific requirements. Quality Control and Compliance: Verifying that data adheres to project standards, regulatory requirements, and quality control processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Collaboration with Stakeholders: Facilitating communication between design teams, contractors, and clients, ensuring that feedback is incorporated and project milestones are met. Training and Support: Assisting team members with BIM tools, offering technical support, and ensuring that everyone follows best practices for digital design and documentation. Use your skills and experience to contribute to the continuing development of Babcock digital strategy

 

This role is full time 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in the office/onsite and 3 days working from home. This role is also adaptable and can be delivered from various locations including Bristol, Leicester and Warrington.

 

Essential experience of the Digital Engineer

Experienced with Building Information Modelling (BIM) & Digital Design/Construction/Engineering techniques, including national and ISO standards. Knowledge of BIM authoring, analysis and management systems; Experience with Autodesk products such as Navisworks and Revit. Experience in engineering, construction or architecture. Demonstrable experience of delivering digital objectives on construction or engineering projects A drive to own and shape your career development journey.

 

Qualifications for the Digital Engineer

Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of BIM/Digital Engineering through CPD or equivalent training course in related BIM or Digital fields.

 

Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
