About the role

To support the rollout of our new corporate brand identity and story of value, Elsevier has an opportunity for a digital designer to join a fast-paced, dynamic, global Marketing group. We see design as visual storytelling that informs and inspires. We're looking for a talented individual who can translate our evolving brand identity into new and existing content assets, making these touchpoints visually engaging and emotionally impactful. The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of current design software. The role needs to be able to balance multiple projects at once and to work well under pressure and often with tight deadlines following a robust set of corporate guidelines.

Accountabilities:

Possess a thorough understanding of branding and marketing, with the ability to vary style and layouts depending on the content asset. Act as a brand ambassador to ensure design solutions follow our brand identity guidelines and templates and maintain consistency and compliance across our design work.Translate our new brand identity into thousands of new and existing content assets.Manage creative production through the design workflow system, Monday.com. Maintain content assets in content asset management tool, Frontify.Consult with internal stakeholders to determine objectives, background information, design approaches, styles and techniques.Repurpose content assets into visually compelling digital assets for social/digital media consumption that support our global marketing campaigns.Support our Global Events team by providing end-to-end creative assets for in-person and virtual events.Collaborate within the Creative team, sharing ideas, best practices, problem-solving, and participating in developing project briefs.Demonstrate knowledge and thirst to investigate, innovate, and develop trends with an emphasis on digital application.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree holderMinimum five years’ experience in a graphic/digital design roleStrong knowledge of the Adobe Creative Cloud applicationsPhotography experience and proficiency with photo-editing software
