Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Content Director to lead our Digital Editorial team. Reporting to the Sr Editorial Content Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and execution of editorial projects from start to finish.
Main Responsibilities:
Oversee the setup and execution of editorial projects, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow from project initiation to completion.Work closely with the Editorial Team to develop and maintain a detailed structure for project management, including setting up project timelines, deliverables, and internal/external coordination.Ensure that the scope of work (SOW) is in place before the commencement of any project, and clarify deliverables, time frames, and allotted hours for each scope.Collaborate with Project Management and Client Management to confirm brand onboarding materials, such as marketing and branded materials, to understand the brand's tone of voice and identity.Develop and agree upon project timelines with all relevant stakeholders, and present the timeline to clients for approval to ensure alignment.Coordinate internal audits and reports, ensuring that necessary deliverables such as SEO audits, UX audits, and other reports are considered before content creation.Review and utilize brand strategy briefs to incorporate key insights about the brand into editorial content creation.Lead the development of content strategies and editorial content calendars, ensuring that all brand materials and priorities are incorporated into comprehensive plans for success.Own and maintain the editorial content calendar as the core tracking document for deliverables throughout the project.Oversee the creation of project status documents to track progress and actionable items during client calls, incorporating updates from the Editorial, Design, and other relevant teams. - Ensure the availability and utilization of macro calendars that lay out seasonal trends and product launch dates before the creation of editorial content.Develop and maintain an editorial style guide to incorporate brand-specific stylistic and grammatical call-outs into the content creation process.QualificationsEnglish and Spanish proficiency9+ years of experience in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.Proven experience in a senior editorial role with a strong understanding of project management and content creation processes.Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to collaborate and coordinate across cross-functional teams.Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Proficiency in using project management tools such as Monday.com, as well as content creation and tracking software.Knowledge of brand strategy and content marketing principles, with a keen eye for detail and brand consistency.
