The DAM (Digital Asset Management) role is a part of the Digital Business team which supports and enables the platform to accomplish Copeland and subsequent business objectives. It is the focal point for driving the utilization and adoption of the Digital Asset Management (DAM) system, Aprimo. It will coordinate with business owners to run, document, process, and govern tools and platforms related to the capability.
This system is the source of truth for digital assets related to our products, website, marketing, and other functions and teams. This role’s main purpose is to develop processes and systems that make accurate, comprehensive efficient management of digital assets such as images, documents, videos, and others that are available to both internal teams and external partners through a public portal.
The DAM Lead will operate across our business units to drive the organization's asset strategy, ensuring that the metadata is standardized and supports business objectives, and will collaborate closely with multi-functional teams to drive the creation and maintenance of an efficient system. They will be supervising the implementation of the public portal and maintenance, development and operation of the DAM system, ensuring data accuracy, and facilitating efficient data distribution across various channels.
Reporting to the Digital Capability Manager, this position will also work closely with other capabilities and functions including PIM (Product Information Manager) Lead, Web Experience Manager, and Marketing teams.
**AS A DIGITAL ASSET MANAGEMENT LEAD, YOU WILL:**
+ Configure & Manage - Lead all aspects of the operation and maintenance of the Aprimo DAM system, including configuration, metadata modeling/taxonomy, system development, and data governance. Ensure the system is scalable, accessible, and user-friendly
+ Assess and analyze existing system configurations and workflows for improvements
+ Quality Control - Define and implement data quality standards, ensuring that DAM is accurate, complete, and consistent and addresses team requirements
+ Governance & Compliance – Establish, monitor, and make sure governance policies and ensure compliance with security and legal requirements.
+ Lead the data integration features the DAM to collect and share information with external systems, including PIM (product information management - Salsify); and CMS/Commerce (Content Management - Optimizely).
+ Integrations- Collaborate with IT and other groups as needed to integrate the DAM system with other enterprise systems to facilitate flawless data flow.
+ Develop and maintain a product taxonomy and classification system that enhances data organization and improves search ability.
+ Implement workflow automation processes or “Rules” within the DAM to streamline operation.
+ Use data analytics tools and techniques to derive insights from the health and operation of the system to find opportunities for improvement and optimization.
+ Collaborate with multi-functional teams, including marketing teams, product managers, and IT to align DAM activities with business goals.
+ Training & support- Develop and deliver training and guidance on DAM system, its users, and team members including governance, standard processes and best practices associated with data asset management.
+ Capture feedback from various sources, including customers and internal teams, to continuously improve product information content and processes. Conducting regular audits of the PIM and brands to identify any inconsistencies or gaps in information.
+ Project Management - Lead and handle projects related to asset migration, bulk uploads, and other tasks to ensure efficient execution and minimal disruption.

**Basic Education, Experience & Skills:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in communications, Marketing, Analytics, or equivalent
+ Three to five (3-5) years of DAM system experience
+ Solid understanding of DAM, metadata, taxonomy, and standard methodologies
+ Prior experience with metadata input, prioritizing large amounts of files, file naming conventions, and database reporting
+ Experience in running assets internally
+ Strong communication skills, including reading and writing in English
+ Well-organized and highly structured individual, with ability to give attention to detail
+ Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to apply data in providing solutions and driving strategic business decisions
+ Self-starter who can work independently and identify process improvements proactively
**Preferred Education, Experience & Skills:**
+ 1-3 years of Aprimo experience
+ Familiar with API to work bulk loads into the system
+ Basic knowledge of Python, API Concepts, and JSON

This role has the flexibility of a remote work option up to three days a week and a core hour schedule. You can choose to flex your start and stop times given you are working during the core hours of 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM.
