Job Summary

The Dietitian provides nutritional counseling and consultation to Healthy Start program participants, focusing on maternal pregnancy and postpartum nutrition as well as infant feeding.  The Dietitian will complete program-related nutrition evaluations, and in collaboration with the interdisciplinary program team, will be responsible for education and resource planning. This Dietitian will also provide group-based nutrition education on nutrition during pregnancy, postpartum and infant/toddler stages. Limited travel may be required. 

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree required. Dietetic Internship or similar Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics approved program required. One year of experience and advanced certifications in specialty are preferred.

Certification/Licensure/Registrations

Must be a Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or obtain registration within six months of hire date required. Licensure in the state of South Dakota required; potential for multiple state licensure.

Work Schedule

Day Shifts: Monday-Friday; 80 hours every 2 weeks

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. 

$25.00 - $37.75 per hour
