DIETARY TECH - per-diem
Diet Technician
Responsibilities:
• Participates in the Nutrition Care of the residents under the direction of a Registered Dietitian.
• Carries out tasks; adjusts menus with accuracy, solves a variety of nutritional concerns, daily documentation in the Electronic Medical Record of observations, audits and other tasks assigned.
• Corrects menus for dietary restrictions, food consistencies, intolerances and adaptive equipment needs.
• Monitors food intakes via meal round observations. Evaluates information in EMR relevant to nutritional care in quarterly assessments and maintains individualized resident centered care plans.
• Consults with RD related to progressive weight losses or gains or any noted or abnormal lab values.
• Educate residents, families, and staff in concepts of nutrition & diet modification
• Completes discharge summaries on assigned residents.
• Completes MDSs as assigned.
Qualifications :
• Associates Degree in Dietetic Technician Program or a Bachelor Degree in Food/Nutrition or Dietetics
