Job DescriptionThe Diesel Mechanic will diagnose and perform repairs on gasoline, diesel, and LP Gas engines, including bumper-to-bumper maintenanceUnder general supervision, you will maintain and repair heavy and light trucks, automobiles, material handling equipment, and trailersYou will operate a variety of hand, power, and shop tools to make and assist with repairs
ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and perform repairs on gasoline and diesel equipment Maintain and repair heavy and light trucks, automobiles, material handling equipmentPerform a wide range of vehicle repairs, including transmissions, engines, clutch repairs, trailers, tire repairs, lights, springs, auxiliary power units, and air conditioningOperate hand, power, and shop tools to assist with repairsConduct preventative maintenance and inspectionsEssential SkillsExperience with transmissions and diesel enginesKnowledge of preventative maintenance Ability to frequently lift and move up to 50 lbs and occasionally 75 lbsCDL certification - Preferred - Not required Additional Skills & QualificationsComfortable standing for long periods on a concrete floorAbility to stand, sit, stoop, climb, kneel, crouch, or stoop while making repairsWork Environment
Steel toes and safety glasses are required. The work environment includes both indoor and outdoor settings, and you must be comfortable working in different climates. Local travel will be required if equipment breaks on site. Just to get it back to the shop to repair.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
