**_Join Our Team as a Permanent Diesel Mechanic in Coeur D'Alene, Idaho!_** **Job Description:** + Perform routine and non-routine maintenance activities on mobile equipment. + Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mobile equipment used in underground and surface mining environments, including drills, bolters, haul trucks, graders, dozers, tractors, light vehicles, and forklifts. **Responsibilities:** + Conduct preventive maintenance tasks to ensure equipment longevity and efficiency. + Diagnose and repair diesel engines, brakes, transmissions, and other mechanical components. + Utilize diagnostic testing and perform welding and fabrication tasks as needed. + Work with hydraulic and electrical systems, and perform pneumatic and suspension repairs. + Read and interpret blueprints to assist in maintenance and repair tasks. + Maintain a fleet of heavy equipment, ensuring all vehicles operate safely and efficiently. **Essential Skills:** + Experience with diesel engine maintenance and repair. + Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems. + Ability to perform preventive maintenance and diagnostics testing. + Skilled in welding, fabrication, and blueprint reading. + Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. **Additional Skills & Qualifications:** + AA or Certificate in Automotive or Diesel preferred but not required. **Why Work Here?** + Competitive salary with opportunities for bonuses, paid out twice a month. + Union medical plan, dental, vision, and 401k benefits. + Internal training program to help advance your career and move up tech levels. **Work Environment:** + Work in both underground and surface mining environments. + Rotating 12-hour shifts: 4 on 5 off, 4 on 5 off, and 5 on 7 off. **Job Type & Location:** + Permanent position based in Coeur D'Alene, Idaho. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $83200.00/yr.
