**Job Title: Diesel Mechanic** **Job Description** As a Diesel Mechanic, you will support an earth-moving company by servicing and repairing heavy equipment such as Haul Trucks, Scrapers, Dozers, Water Trucks, Excavators, and Skid Steers. This role requires the ability to travel anywhere in the United States, with a majority of work performed in Omaha, Nebraska. You will need your own tools and the capability to operate a company vehicle. A truck will be provided for your use. The role demands an independent worker who can effectively troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair various mechanical and electrical issues in heavy equipment. **Responsibilities** + Service and repair heavy equipment such as Haul Trucks, Scrapers, Dozers, Water Trucks, Excavators, and Skid Steers. + Perform diagnostics and troubleshoot issues related to diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, and other mechanical components. + Conduct preventive maintenance and component repairs. + Operate a company vehicle and use personal tools for repairs. + Travel to various job sites across the United States as required. + Work independently to ensure equipment is maintained and repaired efficiently. **Essential Skills** + Extensive experience in diesel engine repair and heavy equipment maintenance. + Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems. + Ability to diagnose and repair engine, oil, fuel, and air filter issues. + Strong understanding of preventive maintenance practices. + Experience with commercial construction sites. + Ability to travel extensively. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Heavy Equipment Operation + Engine Repair + Brake and Fuel Line Diagnostics and Repair + CAT Certified Diesel Mechanic certification is a plus but not required **Why Work Here?** We offer an attractive per diem of $830 per week and provide a company truck for your use. This role provides the opportunity to work on large data center projects and gain diverse experience across various job sites. **Work Environment** You will work on a large data center project involving earth moving activities. The work environment may vary with exposure to cold and hot temperatures depending on the time of year.
