**Job Title: Semi Local & Traveling Diesel Mechanic (Colorado Springs) ($37-45)**
**Job Description:** We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team for direct placement. This role involves working as a mobile heavy equipment mechanic for a midsize civil contractor. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to take a service truck home and must maintain a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
**Responsibilities:**
+ Tear down and reassemble motors.
+ Perform maintenance and repairs on over 30 pieces of equipment owned by the company.
+ Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, transmissions, and heavy equipment.
+ Conduct preventive maintenance and diagnostics.
+ Work on hydraulics, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
+ Perform brake, suspension, and pneumatic repairs.
+ Carry out welding, fabrication, and installation tasks.
+ Use hand and power tools for various mechanical repairs.
+ Handle wiring and air brake systems.
+ Conduct oil changes and other routine maintenance.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications:**
+ 3+ years of experience in diesel mechanics preferred
+ Experience in commercial construction projects
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints
+ Strong mechanical aptitude
+ Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
**Required Certifications:**
+ **Department of Transportation (DOT) Certification** : Required for performing inspections, investigations, or safety audits on commercial vehicles(1) (https://www.atsinc.com/blog/careers/certifications-needed-as-diesel-technician) .

**Work Environment:** You will be working on commercial construction projects in Southern Colorado, including areas such as Pueblo and Colorado Springs. The work involves handling a variety of heavy equipment and adhering to safety protocols. The environment is dynamic, with opportunities for both site work and mobile operations. Dress code and attire requirements will be provided as per the project guidelines.
**Job Type & Location:** This is a Permanent position based out of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $76960.00 - $93600.00
