Transdev in Springfield, Ohio is seeking a C-Level Diesel Mechanic to bolster our team. This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines across various vehicles and equipment. As a Diesel Mechanic, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our vehicles. Transdev is proud to offer: CBA Position: Position Subject to Collective Bargaining Agreement: * $25.85 / Hour * An additional $.10 per hour for each ASE certification you possess or obtain Benefits include: * Vacation/PTO * Benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) * 10 paid Holidays •Company paid ASE testing and training materials •Annual allowances for tools, boots, and prescription safety glasses Key Responsibilities: * Perform repairs and replacements on diesel engines, ensuring optimal functionality. * Execute routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize diesel engine performance. •Lead diagnostic tests to accurately identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies for diesel engines. * Ensure work orders are completed accurately * Actively participate in safety or educational training as required and continuously re certify ASEs to remain in job classification. * Other duties as required. Qualifications: * High school diploma or GED equivalent; Technical training preferred * 2 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic. * Valid a Class A or B CDL with passenger endorsement * Must be able to work flexible work schedules as needed. * ASE certifications preferred. Must obtain 1 ASE within 6 months of employment •Preferred experience with diagnostic computers, heavy line equipment repairs, from heavy truck to heavy equipment: •Appropriate mechanic's tool set •Excellent communication skills. * Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable.
