Job Title: Diesel Mechanic

Hire Resolves client is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join their team in Wetton, Western Cape. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintaining and repairing diesel engines, as well as a thorough understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.

Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance tasks on diesel engines, such as oil changes, filter replacements, and coolant flushes Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in diesel engines Inspect and test diesel engines to ensure they are functioning properly Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the repair process Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding work status and any potential issues

Requirements:

Qualified Diesel/ Earthmoving Mechanic or Equivalent Valid Driver’s License Minimum 2 Years Experience Experience and knowledge of earthmoving and construction machinery Experience and working knowledge of related disciplines, preventative maintenance principles, SA National Road Traffic Act and related legislation and the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations Fault- finding Repair cost estimates  Planet assessments and quality control  Ordering of parts and materials and the controlling of costs  Minor and major repairs both in a workshop environment and on site The ability to multi-task and work under pressure
