Overview

Hire Resolve’s client in the mining industry is urgently seeking the expertise of a Diesel Mechanic in the Northern Cape.

Responsibilities

Ensure the health and safety of oneself and team members by adhering to relevant standards and procedures. Conduct inspections in alignment with the Mine Health and Safety Act regulations, manufacturing, and Company standards. Maintain applicable standards and conditions within assigned areas of responsibility. Safely and correctly install and repair equipment in accordance with scheduled planned refurbishments and maintenance, breakdown management, and ad hoc assignments. Ensure the timely delivery of daily task assignments and report any pending or unscheduled work in accordance with established preventative and breakdown maintenance standards. Conduct RCA to eliminate repeat failures and implement remedial actions. Work collaboratively with operational teams to ensure proper preparation and release of units for planned breakdown and ad hoc maintenance tasks. Collaborate with the team and planned maintenance teams to ensure optimal preparation, spares, etc. ahead of task assignment and execution. Participate in further training and related activities to ensure continuous refinement of personal skills and competencies.

Requirements

Grade 12 N3 Certificate Diesel Trade Test Certificate 5 years of experience in the mining industry
