Summary This position is located at the United States Mint in Philadelphia, PA as part of the Die Manufacturing Division. As a Die Finishing Specialist Leader, you will be responsible for leading Die Finishing Specialists by maintaining a current level of knowledge and answering questions of other employees on procedures, policies and standard practices. This position will also perform laser frosting operations and coating operations using the Particle Vapor Deposition (PVD) process. Responsibilities As a Die Finishing Specialist Leader, you will: Assure that assignments, as directed by the supervisor, are made to other workers in such a manner that the continuity of operations is maintained Plan daily work schedules, determine priorities, and coordinate assignments concerning material and equipment Work along with other workers as required, setting the pace and demonstrating work methods Ensure that needed plans, materials, and tools are available, and that needed stock is obtained from supply locations Maintain a current knowledge of the occupation, and assist other workers on procedures, policies, written instructions, and other directives Requirements Conditions of Employment All employees must wear face masks while on MINT property when required by CDC and Federal guidelines. A one year probationary period may be required. Must successfully complete a background investigation. Public Trust - Background Investigation will be required. Assignment to a specific shift cannot be guaranteed. The successful applicant must be able to work all shifts on a rotational basis.
