Overview

Prepares and transports patients to and from imaging departments. Selects appropriate equipment and notifies all relevant personnel of patient status, special needs, or instructions.

Responsibilities Assists health professionals as appropriate to assigned work area.Ensures that medical equipment necessary for patient transport is clean, functional, and operational. Reports any equipment malfunctions to supervisor. Helps maintain a clean and safe work environment.Transports patients (whose conditions range from stable to highly complex with special equipment needs) to other nursing units, to diagnostic and treatment areas. Qualifications

High School graduate. North Carolina Nursing Assistant Level 1 certification. Maintain certification in BLS.
