Job Description
We are seeking a DevOps Engineer with strong experience in software engineering and a passion for improving developer experiences. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or a related field, with 2+ years of job-related experience or a Master's degree. Agile experience is preferred. This role requires a Department of Defense Secret security clearance and U.S. citizenship due to the nature of the work performed within our facilities.
ResponsibilitiesAutomate infrastructure and tools to streamline operations, deployment, and monitoring processes.Contribute to the design, implementation, orchestration, and maintenance of containerized environments.Maintain the DevSecOps pipeline and implement process improvements.Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and ensure seamless integration of new features.Develop and maintain Cyber Secure infrastructure.Essential SkillsWorking knowledge of Kubernetes and container technologies, including CNCF graduated projects such as ArgoCD, Prometheus, Grafana, Nexus, and Helm.Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Bamboo.Experience with DISA cyber security standards and best practices.Ability to work in a flexible environment that embraces rapid change and emphasizes continuous learning.Expertise in applying technical standards and methodologies to solve challenges creatively.Commitment to ongoing professional development.Additional Skills & QualificationsPassion for pain-free developer experience.Understanding of developer pain points in developing and shipping new features into production.Staying up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies.Proactive in finding opportunities to operationalize new technologies.Collaborative team player eager to provide technical leadership and position others for success.Thorough knowledge of technology trends and willingness to champion new ideas and process improvements.Work Environment
This position is on-site at our Fairlakes facility until April, after which it will be on-site in Manassas. Employees can work a 9/80 schedule if preferred. The team is working within the TCS program to modernize and containerize the current infrastructure, making it quicker and simpler for personnel on submarines to use, and moving it to the cloud.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $52.00
