DevOps Engineer
Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a DevOps Engineer in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This role involves working on our Site Reliability Engineering team within the technology industry. Responsibilities: • Lead the design and implementation of infrastructure and automation for our Digital Transformation projects. • Collaborate closely with product teams on matters related to Site Reliability Engineering. • Build and enhance the scalable application infrastructure, focusing on delivering top-tier eCommerce capabilities. • Define and implement monitoring solutions for projects through automation. • Oversee the development and deployment of all release management features for online systems. • Maintain log centralization of various applications using Splunk. • Responsible for defining infrastructure and system needs for a Site Reliability Engineer role using best practices. • Use configuration management tools such as Chef, Puppet, and/or Ansible for automation to scale projects seamlessly. • Be accountable for all eCommerce performance metrics, including reporting. • Define and deliver global application roadmaps and technology platforms. Requirements • Proficiency in Linux, AWS, and Release Management • Solid understanding and experience with DevOps methodologies • Skilled in cloud technologies and AWS technologies • Hands-on experience in engineering and deploying scalable solutions • Ability to design, implement, and monitor e-Commerce applications • Proficient in Python and other coding languages • Experience with transformation and scale-out projects • Familiarity with Chef, Ansible, and other continuous integration tools • Knowledge in reporting, especially KPI reporting • Understanding of best practices in the field of Computer Sciences • Capable of innovatively approaching digital transformation projects • Experience with monitoring tools • Degree in Computer Sciences or related field is preferred • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines • Strong understanding of e-commerce applications and scalability.
