Development Associate, Data & Gift Processor

Greenwich Country Day School seeks a Development Associate, Data & Gift Processor to start immediately. This is a 12-month/year, full-time position. The Data & Gift Processor will execute administrative and database tasks to ensure the integrity of the database and gift processing records. With responsibility for daily gift processing, reconciliation, and acknowledgment of donations in Raiser’s Edge, the Data & Gift Processor will ensure that accurate filing practices are followed, provide customer service, participate in the processing of online initiatives, and complete special projects, such as archiving and data maintenance, as well as any other duties as assigned by the Director of Advancement Operations.  Responsibilities Include: Gift Processing: + Receive Development contributions (via mailed cash/checks, online credit card, stock, wire transfer, matching gifts, and/or pledges)  + Sort and classify donations and accurately record gifts in Raiser’s Edge batches + Prepare and post batch reports/backup for daily delivery to the Business Office + Produce timely acknowledgment with appropriate signatures via Mail Function in Raiser’s Edge according to policy standards + Maintenance and fulfillment of matching gift credentials and approvals + Produce weekly/monthly reconciliation reports + Produce monthly gift dashboards for the Finance Committee + Create donation forms utilizing Raiser’s Edge Online Express/NXT + Oversee electronic filing systems to ensure all gift documentation is accounted for and filed according to standards Data Integrity: + Complete ongoing data maintenance including, address changes, record updates, duplicate record reviews, deceased status, communication preferences, and reporting related to events and online fundraising efforts + Pull queries and lists for emails and mailings + Collaborate with Dir. of Advancement Operations in auditing procedures and documentation for gift processing and data integrity Daily Operations: + Provide customer service to donors, Advancement Office staff, and other GCDS departments + Provide light administrative duties including, backup phone coverage, administrative support coverage, and event coverage, as needed or assigned by the Dir. of Advancement Operations + Assist team members and perform all other duties as assigned Required Qualifications: + Minimum of Associate's Degree or equivalent computer training/work-related experience + At least 2 years of experience in a development/foundation/philanthropy setting + Demonstrated proficiency with fundraising databases and online donation systems, preferably Blackbaud (Raiser's Edge) + An understanding of the fundamentals of cash banking, deposits, and reconciliation + Gift processing experience + Working knowledge of Microsoft software packages and email systems + Excellent verbal, written communication and math skills + Strong attention to detail and accuracy of data entry + Ability to work well in a team and independently with capabilities of thinking through various gift processing scenarios, including research and data collection, with minimal direct supervision + Ability to respect and maintain strict adherence to confidentiality policies Interested candidates are invited to use the link provided to submit a cover letter and resume to: Raquel Salcedo, Director of Recruiting & Talent   Powered by JazzHR
