Summary & Role Information
The SAP HANA Core development team is seeking for a highly motivated and experienced C++ developer with a strong background in database management system (DBMS) development.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience designing, planning and implementing database functionality. You will play a key role in fostering an agile environment, ensuring successful delivery of DBMS enhancements and feature deliveries.
What you will do:
Database architect
Design features and solutions in the context of the SAP HANA Basis & Store layer.
Manage projects of high volume or high complexity.
Provide regular project status and updates.
Be responsible for delivery of quality outcomes of projects.
Database development
Implements features and solutions in the context of the HANA Basis & Store layer.
Implements feature tests integrated into the HANA Database test infrastructure.
Analyse issues and designs solutions.
Collaboration & Communication:
Foster a culture of open communication and collaboration within the team and across departments.
Hands on keyboard designing, implementing and updating JIRA and Confluence sites.
Engage with other architects and developers to share best practices and lessons learned.
Provide clear and concise updates to executives and stakeholders regarding project status and potential challenges.
Accountability:
Manage expertise ensuring business critical & innovative results.
Responsible for delivery of outcomes of complex and innovative functional issues integrating stakeholder needs, strategic business goal of the function and financial objectives.
Can make functional decisions and recommendations of a broad nature.
May include team lead or supervisory responsibilities

Represent SAP HANA on specific subject matters

What you’ll bring:
At least 5 years of experience as a C++ and Python developer
Deep knowledge in database management systems (DBMS)
Strong understanding of development processes
Excellent communication, facilitation, and coaching skills
Ability to identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the team.
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Experience working with distributed teams and remote team members.
Ability to interact with senior management including communication of release deliverables, development, and delivery KPIs, and other program status.
Good to have:
Bachelor’s degree focused on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines or equivalent experience.
Experience with development and tracking tools like Bugzilla, Jira, Git, Jenkins.
