This developer position plays a critical role inour journey to modernize the schedule development process in United Cargo.This individual will apply proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues, opportunities, or problems in order to maximize the benefit of IT and Business investments.

This role will design, develop, document, test and debug new and existing applications. Additionally, this role will build these applications with a focus on delivering cloud-based solutions. The individual will use groundbreaking technologies and enterprise grade integration software daily and working on different layers of the cloud using AWS services. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, design, and quality product is important.

Hands-on development, Support and troubleshoot software systems as required, optimizing performance, resolving problems, and providing follow-up on all issues and solutionsEnsures that systems are properly integratedWorks with business, support, or development teams recommending system enhancementsDevelop, test, benchmark, and track the performance of solutions over timeConsults across multiple United Information Technology projects and technology areas to perform troubleshooting, problem management, root-cause analysis, and solution implementationServes as a resource for technology/project development review and technical assessmentsEnsures that the technical solutions meet the customers’ business goalsEnsures consistency and coherence to the enterprise standards and guiding principles throughout the application lifecycleIdentifies opportunities to leverage/influence the direction for existing infrastructure and application componentsKeeps abreast of industry trends through benchmarking, participation in professional associations etc. to advise others of strategic technology directionProvides feedback to the enterprise technology owners and Architects regarding future solution needs
