Your Mission
As a DevOps Software Engineer III, you will design, develop, and maintain a distributed Metrics and Monitoring solution for HPC systems to ensure reliability, performance, and scalability. You will work with system engineers and developers to automate processes, enhance system performance, and streamline deployments. Your expertise in DevOps tools, infrastructure automation, and software engineering will support the continuous integration and delivery of mission-critical applications.You Will Excel in This Role If You Are:Skilled in software engineering and DevOps methodologiesExperienced in automating processes and infrastructure using scripting and orchestration toolsComfortable working in Linux environments and developing solutions for HPC systemsProficient in troubleshooting and optimizing system performanceAdept at working with large-scale data monitoring and log management toolsPassionate about improving reliability, scalability, and efficiency through automationA Day in the Life:Develop and maintain a distributed Metrics and Monitoring solution for HPC systemsAutomate infrastructure and software deployments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principlesUtilize Splunk for ingesting, indexing, searching, and analyzing big dataImplement and manage log management tools like Syslog-ng and rsyslogDevelop Bash scripts and Python applications to enhance system automationWork with CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI for continuous integration and deliveryCollaborate with system engineers, software developers, and DevOps teams to optimize system performanceManage source control using Git and support best practices for software development workflowsMust Have:TS/SCI with Polygraph clearanceMaster’s degree in related discipline, plus five (5) years of related experience. OR Bachelor’s degree in related discipline, plus seven (7) years of experience as a SWE, OR Nine (9) years of experience as a SWE without a degree will be considered.Experience using the Linux CLIProficiency in developing Bash scripts for process automationRecent software development experience using PythonExperience with Splunk for big data monitoring and analysisKnowledge of log management tools such as Syslog-ng and rsyslogExperience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) automation tools like AnsibleUnderstanding of CI/CD methodologies and tools, including GitLab CIProficiency in Git Source Control SystemNice to Have:Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence)Familiarity with the Kafka Messaging FrameworkAbout us: We are an experienced advanced analytic development company providing Cyber solutions to current and emerging missions.
