ProSphere (PST), a Planned Systems International (PSI) company, is seeking is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to provide support in Windows and Mac environments. The Technician will provide routine IT customer support in both administrative and technical areas including user administration and directory rights. The successful candidate should also have a working knowledge of documentation (technical writing) and inventory. This is a full time position located in Washington, DC. Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities Provide support remotely in various field officesProvide conference room equipment setup and support as neededAssist IT specialists with system troubleshooting and resolution determinationPerform installation of various software patches/updates as neededProvide support for the equipment maintenance program and assist with product research, documentation and recommendations where necessarySupport a small group of Mac users Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science, 3-5 years equivalent work experience may be substituted3-5 years of practical work experience providing general IT support / Help Desk2 years supporting PCsProficiency with Windows 7, Window 10, Mac OS 10.12, Office 365Ability to diagnose and resolve technical and end-user problems in a customer service oriented team environmentExperience installing and maintaining applications and associated hardware and peripherals; assisting users with IT procedures, system setup and network troubleshootingExcellent troubleshooting and problem resolution skills for federal government client(s) strongly preferredAbility to work independently with minimal direction providing technical and non-technical support to multiple usersAbility to work overtime required on occasionAbility to sit at a workstation for long periods of timeAble to lift, carry, move, load and unload heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)
