No Duties and Responsibilities 1. Manages Windows desktop environment utilizing various tools including Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM / MECM), WSUS, and AD.
2. Manages Mac systems environment utilizing Jamf management system and tools including Composer, Jamf Imaging, Jamf remote.
3. Creates, maintains, and updates standard images for University Windows and Mac workstations
4. Packages, configures, and installs core software packages in Windows and macOS environments.
5. Creates documentation for application installation packages, imaging processes, and system maintenance processes.
6. Manages Pharos pay-to-print systems
7. Adds, updates, and troubleshoots applications and User accounts in Apporto virtual desktop system
8. Manages application licensing servers
9. Escalates problems appropriately to vendors and other ITS resources.
10. Logs, tracks, and updates incidents in issue problem log.
11. Participates in and/or leads technical projects.
12. Trains and mentor other technicians on desktop application delivery processes.
13. Ensures high level of customer satisfaction, client relations, and quality standards.
14. Performs other projects and responsibilities as required. Minimum Education and/or Work Experience - A minimum of a BA/BS Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a desktop support or desktop engineering environment Qualifications Education/Experience:

- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a desktop support or desktop engineering environment

Availability:
Most of the work for this position will occur within the standard work week. However, this position will be on-call, and may need to work during off-hours to respond to problems, maintenance, and scheduled projects.

- Experience with packaging software for centralized distribution.
- Experience with Jamf management system.
- Knowledge of Azure AD, Pharos Uniprint, Faronics DeepFreeze is a plus.
- Experience remotely configuring and reporting on Windows 10/11 and macOS computers.
- Experience with VM workstations.
- Competency in integrating peripherals with desktop software.
- Ability to work in at least two common scripting languages such as: PowerShell, Bash, VBscript, AppleScript.
