Where You Will Work
Our global headquarters is in Phoenix, Arizona. Several hundred employees support our operations in finance, human resources, health and safety, information technology, planning, and more. Our flexible work program allows employees to work virtually as well as come together in person when needed at our Collaboration Hub in Phoenix and/or one of our site locations. Employees can work remotely from most states in the U.S., with the exception of California, Connecticut, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma and South Carolina. Additional states may be excluded from remote work based on business factors. Should the position shift to in-person (office/site) work in the future, the company will offer relocation benefits at that time, so long as the position meets the established eligibility for these benefits.
Description Under general supervision, provides design and drawing services, including but not limited to layouts, detail and assembly drawings, and schematics to support Operations or the Engineering unit at assigned site: Works from notes, verbal instructions, sketches and drawings, or Engineering specification; consolidates the information to be used to prepare working plans, layouts and detailed drawingsReviews the design and helps resolve the details not completely definedDevelops specifications, designs or drawings using Engineering principals, established company standards, procedures and instructionsEnsures the proper level of documentation for all projects including drawings and parts lists utilizing Computer Aided Design (CAD) and other automated and manual toolsReviews Engineering drawings and supporting documents for adherence to established design standards; verifies completed workPerforms other duties as requiredQualificationsMinimum Qualifications
Advanced technical training through the completion of a two (2) year trade/technical school program and two (2) years of experience in Engineering Design/Drafting, ORAssociate's degree in Drafting and Design, or a closely related field and two (2) years of experience in Engineering Design/DraftingAbility to create and read Engineering drawings or blueprintsKnowledge of the principles and practices of EngineeringSkilled in using CAD hardware and softwareAbility to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautionsSkilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazardsAbility to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Criteria/Conditions Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in EnglishAbility to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standardsMust be able to work in a potentially stressful environmentWork is performed in an office setting, with occasional work in a mine or manufacturing setting, which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, toxic chemicals, explosives, fumes or airborne particlesWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, talk, hear and seeOccasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects up to thirty (30) pounds during the course of the workdayPersonal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and other protective equipment as required
What We Offer You
The estimated pay range for this role is currently $30.00 - $41.00/hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits, or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills, and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
