Gensler’s Global Design Technology Studio is seeking a XR Developer with expertise in immersive design and strong technical skills to lead and innovate in our Design Technology team. The role involves crafting innovative, immersive experiences using Spatial Computing and Mixed Reality to drive impact for practitioners, projects, and clients in a dynamic and creative environment. You will need a deep understanding of immersive design and proficiency in the latest methods and technologies for creating, managing, and delivering these experiences to varied key stakeholders at different scales. As a vital part of the team, you will be a key contributor to delivering new and innovative ways for us to tell engaging and immersive stories through cutting-edge concepts, workflows and technology to all of our practitioners and clients throughout the globe.

What You Will Do

Design, Innovate, Develop, and Support world-class Immersive Experiences with a focus on XR and Spatial Computing.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features and experiences.Collaborate with the development team to maintain code quality and offer our customers the best possible experience.Solve complex problems in regard to designing innovative solutions to tell stories through Spatial ComputingOptimize Immersive Experiences for maximum performance and scalability across different platforms and stakeholders.Generate UX/UI options and designs for innovative ways to immerse and engage clients and stakeholders.Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to immersive experience development and deployment.Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies in XR and Spatial Computing.Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas to improve stakeholder experiences.Create and maintain documentation related to XR development processes, tools, and techniques.Collaborate with various project teams on the presentations of Immersive Experiences.Cultivate relationships with senior management and other key stakeholders across the globe.Provide regular updates to project teams and leadership on the progress of our immersive experiences
 

Your Qualifications

5+ years of experience developing XR games, applications, and/or experiences.Expertise in programming languages such as C#, C++, JavaScript, and Swift.Highly skilled in Unity3D, Unreal Engine, VScode, Xcode and RealityKit with Reality Composer ProExperience in porting games or 3D interactive products to different platforms such as iOS, ipadOS, visionOS, and Meta Horizon OS.Familiarity with XR and Spatial Computing hardware (e.g., Apple Vision Pro, Meta Quest, HTC Vive, etc.)Enthusiasm for developing cutting-edge features with emerging technology and new hardware capabilitiesPrefer at least one game release or equivalent professional industry experienceExperience with real-time networked features (e.g., synchronous multiplayer games)Working knowledge of 3D geometry, Materials, Lighting, and MathematicsProficient in at least one of the following DCCs: 3ds Max, Maya, Cinema4D and/or BlenderKnowledge of UX/UI Design Principles from inception to integrationUnderstanding of spatial audio design and implementation.Experience supporting an experience and/or application with regular content updatesProven record of working collaboratively in a multi-functional teamExcellent problem-solving and analytical abilities to tackle technical challenges and find efficient solutions.Prior experience working in a fast-paced, self-starting, start-up environment
