Management of Ford Performance Parts Accessory Package product lifecycles including design, development, design verification, launch, and product maintenance including establishing component and system targets and specifications. Additional responsibilities include interface and support for VP Planning, Purchasing, Finance, Manufacturing, and Program Management.
**What you'll do…**
+ Design, Develop, Release and Test Ford Performance Parts (FPP) Accessory Packages requiring interface with other Engineers, Planning, Purchasing, Prgm Mgmt, Finance, and Automotive Safety Office
+ Investigate and develop ideas for new accessory product offerings
+ Support Dealer and Customer Service questions on accessories including Accessory Hotline support
+ Utilize Team Center, TcVis Mockup, WERS, FPP PCR System, SharePoint, EDMS
+ Coordinate and complete Cost, Feasibility, and Timing (CFT) for FPP and GFA accessories. Requirements for Cost, Feasibility, and Timing are CAD package studies in Team Center, TcVis Mockup, and initial Bill of Material. Interface with PD Engineering for feasibility as required.
+ Lead compliance to Ford requirements, DVP&Rs, and sign-offs
+ Interface with planning, program management, vehicle programs, and other teams
+ Support program PMT meetings and Engineering meetings
+ Interface with Supplier and/or FPP Core team in support of Design Rules, Requirements, and Foundation Documents
+ Develop and coordinate Instruction Sheets for Dealer or Customer installation of accessories. The Instruction Sheet development will require in-depth development with Team Center, TcVis Mockup, and Power Point
+ Coordinate Instruction Sheet Validation Fit-up with local team members. Lead and procure the Fitment through GIPRS or Aurora. Follow and track the orders through the payment process.
+ Creation and maintainance of accessory bill of materials for all vehicle lines
+ Perform and document Model Year Carryover Assessments using Team Center, TcVis Mockup, WERS, WOW, PDO, iPDL
**You'll have…**
+ Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
+ 2+ years product design, familiarity manufacturing and service processes
**Even better, you may have…**
+ Experience developing vehicle accessory or production products
+ Understanding of automotive networks – WERS, Team Center, TcVis Mockup, and FPP PCR System
+ Experience with CAD, physical schematics, Illustration process creation
+ Technical aptitude, desire to learn
+ Enjoys beings hands on with projects
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
+ Ability to manage multiple suppliers and commodities (multitask)
+ Ability to work collaboratively with other teams
