This is an Engineering Intern position running from May 2025 through August 2025. The position may be extended to an Engineering Co-op running from May 2025 through December 2025.

This internship will be with the Trane Technologies Design Engineering Group. We are responsible for broad knowledge of designing equipment, drafting and computer aided design; or broad knowledge in product definition, product configuration, bills of materials and applies knowledge to tasks.

Where is the work:

This position has been designated as remote and work will be performed in Clarksville, TN. 

What you will do:

Perform engineering analysis and modeling to support design choices and predict compressor performance.Support lab testing and data analysis to verify that compressors meet requirements.Create and maintain engineering documentation, including technical reports, drawings, and specifications.Provide technical support to laboratory technicians, manufacturing engineering, suppliers and operations.Collaborate with team to complete engineering design projects.

What you will bring:

Pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Design Engineering (Sophomore or Junior standing) or related fieldOverall 3.0 GPA or above.

Key Competencies:

Demonstrated ability to take initiative (minimum of one example in the last four years such as: previous employment, school club officer, sports team captain, resident advisor, etc.)Strong work ethic and positive attitude.Good communication and teamwork skills.
