Design Integration BIM Manager

The Design Integration BIM Manager is responsible for the development and management of Medxcel’ s Capital Construction Building Data Management Program. The Data Manager will oversee the capital construction design data management, utilizing industry standard design data technology practices in full compliance with all applicable Building Codes and Requirements. The Data Manager will develop and manage relevant electronic data systems to ensure all capital construction project documentation is accurate and complete. The Design Integration Data Manager will conduct themselves and model highly professional standards in collaboration with all other Medxcel associates, leadership, clients, and Partners while supporting Medxcel’s Design Standards and Specifications. This position will be located at Indianapolis, IN. Responsibilities Responsibilities: Responsible for development and implementation of data standards, protocols, and workflows to ensure consistent and effective utilization of Building Information Management systems across all Medxcel Capital Construction projects. Develop and manage digital storage for standard library template files. Lead digital library related process improvements initiatives in alignment with Preconstruction, Construction Programs and Energy / Facilities Performance. Facilitate increase utilization of Building Information Management (BIM) systems throughout the Design and Construction phases of Capital Construction projects. Act as PDCE Team resource and support to Medxcel teams and stakeholders concerning data management tools, methodologies, and best practices. Participate in all Capital Project Design Exception review process(es) to validate utilization of digital templates. Collaborate with designers, architects, engineers, contractors and Medxcel teams to ensure seamless coordination of data management processes and data exchange throughout the Capital project life cycle Oversee the quality and accuracy of capital construction project BIM models and data; conducting regular reviews to identify and address discrepancies, ensuring compliance with established standards Promote interdisciplinary collaboration by establishing and maintaining effective communication channels between Capital Project teams; encourage information sharing and revolving conflicts related to data management implementation Act as the Medxcel Data Management and Digital Library liaison for all external professional service firms related Capital Construction projects. Represent Planning, Design, Construction and Energy in Key Initiatives as assigned. Participate in PDCE Committees and Workgroups as assigned. Provide continual support and input to update Medxcel’s Standards on a quarterly basis, continuously reviewing our Capital Projects against those standards. In tandem with the Design Integration, Engineering, Preconstruction and Construction teams, coordinate a value-based approach to Architecture which meets the needs of both Capital Management and Medxcel Operations function of the business. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in architecture or directly related field (Engineering, Interior Design) Master’s degree in architecture, Engineering, or directly related field License/Certification: Architecture, Engineering or directly related field. AGC Certificate of Management-Building Information Modeling (CM-BIM) or other directly related certification preferred. Experience: At least five years’ experience in healthcare design, engineering, architectural building integration management (BIM) library development and management required. 8+ years’ experience in healthcare architectural design, engineering, architectural BIM management including supervision of external resources in a matrix environment preferred. Demonstrated planning/organizing – prioritizing and planning work activities, uses time efficiently, develops realistic action plans . Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication(s). Interpersonal and technical skills necessary to communicate across all levels of a matrix organization. Proven experience and proficiency with MS Office Suite and Design industry related software(s). Demonstrated critical thinking skills – demonstrated ability to approach technical design and construction issues, identify alternative solutions, make recommendations, and present them in an easily understood manner. Demonstrated decisive judgment – ability to assess situations or circumstances and draw sound and objective conclusions. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple project assignments, including scope, resources, roles, responsibilities, communication, prioritization to goal completion. Accountability – troven ability to take responsibility for action and results. Proven ability to accomplish tasks with team members, follow up on assigned tasks and report on progress of work. Proven ability to train others on technical components, applicable regulations, and internal procedures.
