Summary

At Precision Solutions, we are seeking a Design Engineer Specialist - CAD/AutoCAD to join our team in Huntsville, AL. This role requires an active Top-Secret Clearance and involves leading the design and quality assurance efforts for structured cable design projects. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise across multiple project assignments, with a strong background in CAD and telecommunication distribution design.

 

Responsibilities

Provide an Installation Design Plan (IDP) in accordance with the customers’ site-specific technical requirementsBe responsible for all activities involving quality assurance and compliance with IDPConduct audits and review/analyze data and documentation to ensure qualityReview the content of technical documentation for quality and ensure documents delivered follow the sample IDP provided after the awardModify CAD architectural/electrical plans to fit the needs of the customers’ IDPWork on multiple project assignments simultaneously, leveraging structured cable design experience

Requirements

Minimum of five (5) years of experience in physical network infrastructure design or installationMinimum of five (5) years of documented experience using CAD, preferably AutoCADMinimum of five (5) years of documented design experience with Telecommunication Distribution DesignProficiency in Microsoft Office products

Education/Certification Requirements

Must be a BICSI and RCDD certified

Clearance Requirements

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; an active Top Secret clearance is required.
