Design Engineer Intern

We are looking for an Engineering Intern to join our Target Rock team in the Design Engineering Department! As a Design Engineering Intern, you will assist in the design of fixtures and tools used in the manufacture and assembly of production valve, create 3D CAD models, and execute production drawing changes. You will work closely with the Design Engineers and have the opportunity to assist in projects focused on developing new or improved products and manufacturing processes.

Location: East Farmingdale, NY.

Hourly pay: $18.00 - 20.00 an hour

Your Challenge

Prepare 3D CAD models as well as 2D detail drawings and assembly drawingsDesign tools and fixtures as needed to support daily productionExecute drawing and design changes as needed to incorporate into productionAdditional responsibilities as assigned by Supervisor/Manager

What You Bring

Must be a US citizenActively pursuing Four (4) year Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Nuclear preferred)Ability to create 3D CAD models (NX, Solidworks preferred)Ability to create clear 2D CAD part and assembly drawingsUnderstanding of tolerancing and dimensioning for part design and assemblyClose attention to detailKnowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite, Mathcad)
