Design Engineer Intern
We are looking for an Engineering Intern to join our Target Rock team in the Design Engineering Department! As a Design Engineering Intern, you will assist in the design of fixtures and tools used in the manufacture and assembly of production valve, create 3D CAD models, and execute production drawing changes. You will work closely with the Design Engineers and have the opportunity to assist in projects focused on developing new or improved products and manufacturing processes.
Location: East Farmingdale, NY.
Hourly pay: $18.00 - 20.00 an hour

Must be a US citizenActively pursuing Four (4) year Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Nuclear preferred)Ability to create 3D CAD models (NX, Solidworks preferred)Ability to create clear 2D CAD part and assembly drawingsUnderstanding of tolerancing and dimensioning for part design and assemblyClose attention to detailKnowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite, Mathcad)Founded in 1951 to meet the special severe service valve requirements of the United States Nuclear Navy, Target Rock is today the premier supplier of highly engineered, valves and related products to both the U.S. Navy nuclear fleet and the global nuclear power generation industry.
