Kemin Application Solutions team is seeking an Automation Engineer! This team is responsible for product application systems and services that Kemin offers to it's customers. The Automation Engineer will develop, analyze, and implement electrical schematics and equipment drawings to support fabrication and troubleshooting of systems.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Engineering, with experience in areas of equipment design, hydro-mechanics, electro-mechanical engineering; measurement and control technology; process engineering.

Responsibilities Develop innovative PLC, HMI, and Scada solutions to maximize the applicator efficiency.Responsible for keeping system schematics and drawings up to date, managing version history.Responsible for researching technical and economical improvements.Recommend and review instrument specifications for projects.Build various application equipment.Troubleshoot existing application systems at customer locations.Foster a positive team environment and assist coworkers as requiredAbility to assemble and install application equipment at customer sites across North America.Participate in attending local exhibitions, seminars, trainings, and workshops.Assist in development of new application systems.Provide day to day support to customers, sales team, and KAS Engineers. Qualifications Education and Experience:Bachelors Degree in Engineering, preferably in Agriculture, Design, or Industrial Technology with 1 to 3 years’ experience in an industrial environment, including field work at customer locationExperience in liquid dosing systems and Feed Mill process technology is desired, but not requiredFamiliarity with SolidWorks and AutoCADCapability to learn and understand electrical and communication systemsStrong affinity for industrial automationProfound knowledge and understanding of mechanical and electrical schematicsAbility to work independently or in a structured teamStrong organizational skills with attention to detailAbility to work in a fast paced, high-pressure environmentExcellent analytical and decision-making skillsEffective oral and written communication skillsSelf-starter and highly organizedQuality mindedA post-offer background check and drug screen is required.
