Deputy Program Manager
Amentum, a global leader in critical mission support, engineering, technology, and national security solutions, is seeking a Deputy Program Manager to support a contract based at **Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay, GA.** Reporting directly to the Program Manager, this position has management and senior level employees on the program as direct reports. The work includes oversight of Office and Contracts Management, Program Controls, and Alternative Delivery Procurement and Implementation. This position is client facing and would be a direct contact as an onsite Amentum leader with an emphasis on ensuring the Program Schedule, Cost, Scope and Safety are in-line with client expectations. The position is responsible for producing, organizing, and reviewing work products. • Supports the Program Manager in all aspects of program delivery including managing senior staff, hiring, client interaction, development of client meeting materials and other deliverables, organizational decision-making, sub-consultant oversight, and invoicing. • Works directly with internal project controls on contract management items including contract and contract amendment development, subconsultant contract development, invoicing, forecasting, and reporting. • Works directly with external program controls staff on program reporting. • Works directly with other client consultants including legal, financial, and technical advisors on planning, coordinating, and delivering program-related work. • Responsible for overall program delivery (cost, schedule, quality, information, contracts) on multiple project assignments. • Attends meetings with the client to report on weekly program progress and on-going work as well as to discuss forward-looking work plans. • Resolves program-related issues, disputes, and disagreements. • Reviews and provides comment on work products prepared by internal staff and external consultants on the client’s behalf to ensure quality. • Acts as the Program Manager in their absence. **Minimum Qualifications** 10+ years of experience showing growth and progression to a management position. Bachelor's degree; 3+ years of relevant experience with Masters degree. Usually has experience leading, mentoring, and/or delegating the work of others. • Experience in a management position. • Alternative Delivery and Implementation experience preferred. • Excellent communication and organizational skills. • Ability to interact well with various personalities and diverse groups. • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment. + **Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
