Deputy Program Lead

ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented **PTL Deputy Program Lead** to join our team in the **Sterling, Virginia** area.
**Responsibilities include but are not limited to:**
+ The Personnel Tracking and Locating (PTL) Deputy Program Lead assists the Program Lead in overseeing and leading a staff of engineers, project managers, material management, and technical personnel, domestic and abroad.
+ Required to travel TDY to U.S. Embassies in critical threat locations around the world.
+ Responsible to the Contracting Officer, Contracting Officer Representative, and Government Technical Monitors for contract personnel and delivery of project tasks.
+ Reports the operational and maintenance status of Government-owned and operated PTL hardware, software, spares, and repair parts.
+ Identifies replenishment requirements and recommends upgrades and/or enhancements to maximize effectiveness and functionality of the PTL program.
+ Controls project plans to ensure program objectives are met; coordinates and integrate project activities; manages, leads, and administers project resources, takes corrective action when problems arise; participates in phase, milestone, and final project reviews; and monitors the quality assurance process.
+ Domestic travel may be required for training and program coordination.
+ Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervision of professional, technical, and/or labor staff in support of the project.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor’s Degree required.
+ Must demonstrate exceptional expertise in the technical aspects of practical and sustainable life-safety programs for designated regions abroad.
+ Must be familiar with U.S. and host country laws, regulations and policies governing the implementation of PTL and coordination with all associated departments, agencies, private contractors and organizations mandated with national security.
+ Position requires self-motivation and the ability to work effectively under a minimal supervision.
+ Must be able to multi-task efficiently, work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects and have strong attention to detail.
+ Possess excellent writing and verbal skills.
+ Must be proficient with Microsoft Windows operating systems and office automation software (e.g., Microsoft Office, SharePoint).
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ 10 + years professional work experience in a military or government environment is preferred.
+ May be required to travel OCONUS to facilities in critical threat locations around the world with austere living conditions.
+ Domestic travel may be required for training and program coordination.
+ Certification (or work toward certification) as a Project Management Professional is preferred.
**Clearance Requirements:**
+ Must have a current/active Top Secret clearance.
+ Must be eligible for a TS/SCI to meet full performance requirements.
**Physical Requirements:**
+ Mainly works in an indoor office environment- uses a computer and other office equipment and moves about to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
+ Communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
