Role description:

Arcadis is seeking a Deputy Operations Manager to join our Mobility West Program Project Management Operations team who can bring a wide range of experience gained working on California transportation and related infrastructure development projects. This role will be pivotal in utilizing Arcadis' strong national and international reputation to help grow the firm's operations and enhance its standing in the Transportation Construction industries.  

Role accountabilities:

Contribute to and continually enhance and execute our growth strategy and marketing plan. Supervise existing operational resources by engaging and mentoring staff while maintaining their utilization. Manage existing clients and contracts by providing quality assessment and control. Work with the Business Development teams by soliciting and responding to task orders issued through prequalification’s and On‐Call contracts. Work with the Business Development Group to identify, position and respond to opportunities to grow the Arcadis Mobility Operation in California to increase its net revenue. Work with Talent Acquisition to recruit staff to address clients’ needs as determined through positioning, task order solicitations, and Requests for Proposals.

Qualifications & Experience:

25+ years of industry experience, the focus will be on both operational and strategic leadership, driving growth and ensuring project delivery excellence.  Bachelor’s Degree either Engineering. California Professional Engineering license.

Key Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge, experience and established relationships within California Agencies focused on infrastructure development Proven experience in project management and familiarity with project management software and tools Proven client relationship management Effective people management skills Experienced in mentoring of individuals and teams Ability to work on multiple issues in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration among diverse stakeholders.

These benefits include medical, dental, and vision, EAP,  401K, STD, LTD, AD&D, life insurance, paid parental leave, reward & recognition program and optional benefits including wellbeing benefits, adoption assistance and tuition reimbursement.  We offer nine paid holidays and 20 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $250,000 - $350,000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
