Roles and Responsibilities
The Safety DGM will be responsible for:
· Developing, implementing, and monitoring safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices
· Conducting regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions
· Leading and coordinating safety training programs for employees at all levels to promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability
· Overseeing incident reporting, investigation, and analysis to identify root causes and prevent recurrence
· Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate safety considerations into all aspects of operations, projects, and maintenance activities
· Staying current with industry trends, regulatory updates, and technological advancements to continuously improve safety practices
· Establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track safety performance and drive continuous improvement
· Providing leadership and guidance to the safety team and fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment
· Acting as the primary point of contact for safety-related inquiries, communications, and reporting to senior management and external stakeholders
Education Qualification
· Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or relevant field
· Master’s degree in safety management or related discipline (preferred),
Experience
· 20-25 years of experience in the power/energy industry
· Demonstrated track record of implementing safety programs and driving a safety-first culture
· Proven experience in leading safety initiatives, risk assessment, and compliance management
