We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced investment professional to join the General Account (“GA”) Investment team to assist the Head of Real Estate Investments in the management of assets totaling $18 billion consisting of US and European commercial mortgages, agricultural mortgages, CRE fund investments, real estate private equity and owned real estate.

Responsibilities and Duties include, but are not limited to:

Assist in the oversight of CML asset managers with over forty originators and asset managers: AXA IM, AllianceBernstein (US and European CML) and Equitable AgribusinessAssist in the investment process including income enhancement investment programs and strategies that comport with the objectives of the General Account. Monitor investment performance, and asset management including acquisition, disposition and restructures Constructively challenge and collaborate with internal and external asset managers’ specialist teamsMaintain constructive and effective relationships with the investment community, as well as, internal and external legal counselManage/monitor progress against agreed upon investment program targets, particularly the Investment PlansMonitor and implement regulatory requirements pro-actively in order to anticipate possible impacts on the existing strategies (CECL)Equity Real Estate: Assist in the evaluation and disposition of REO assets


In Office Schedule: This position will be working in office a minimum of 3 days per week.


The total targeted compensation range for this position is$300,000-$400,000. Total compensation varies based on skills, experience, geographical location and other factors.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree15 years experience in Real EstateProficient in all aspects of real estate markets and investments and accountingAbility to drive deal-level, tactical and strategic investment recommendationsAbility to effectively direct external portfolio managers

Preferred Qualifications:

MBA and/or CFAExperience in Commercial Mortgage Loan Origination

Organizational Governance: Knowledge of the processes, customs, policies, and rules affecting the way the organization is administered and controlled; ability to ensure compliance with governance guidelines and policies.

Portfolio Management: Knowledge of investment portfolios; ability to utilize relevant tools and techniques in managing clients' securities investments.
