POSITION SUMMARY:  This position oversees the essential functions and management responsibilities of the program. Ensures compliance with all mandated city, state and agency regulation and requirements. Provides clinical oversight to all managerial staff.

Essential Accountabilities:

Monitor daily operations of the department in accordance with agency policies and procedures. Report deficiencies to the Director of Behavioral Health Residential Services. Assist in the development of program policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations. Monitor ongoing internal audit procedures designed to address regulatory compliance and quality assurance issues. Assist in program development and evaluation. Communicate departmental policy and procedure to all residential staff. Coordinate and assist in development of staff. Assist in the coordinating of clinical services to residential programs. Serve on internal committees, as determined by Director of Behavioral Health Residential Services. Participate in personnel interactions and identification of personnel needs. Assist in the development of agreements with external providers as needed in the interest of client service. Represent the agency to external governmental and voluntary providers and associations. Assist in development of new residential facilities. 24-hour availability for assistance in emergency situations, including on-call responsibility. Monitor program census, monitor departmental intake and screening process. Ensure that program meets internal standards of quality. Communicate information with all staff and supervisor(s) verbal and in writing for the purpose of giving instructions, providing feedback and adjusting work practices. Must be able to read and create typed and written correspondence. Able to transport self to scattered worksites. Able to attend meetings/trainings at various sites that require following different route of travel to worksite.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

Other duties and projects as may be assigned by the Vice President of Behavioral Health and Residential Services. Detail oriented and organized. Assist area coordinators with special or unusual tasks. Ensure adequate departmental representation in agency events. Participate in weekly departmental management meetings. Work locations and schedules are subject to change. Maintain confidentiality at all times.
