Our client is searching for a Demand Planner for their Head Office based in Johannesburg North The successful candidate will be responsible to Integrate with all areas Retail Trade Marketing and Finance to achieve consensus forecast guarantee availability of products & optimize working capital focusing on stock levels lead times

Duties and Responsibilities
Building a long term 12 to 18 months demand planning Forecast based on seasonality historic purchasing change in product mix and sales channel developments
Coordinate demand planning process and Monthly Forecast Review meeting with all business heads
Understand behaviors of each Channel
Maintain Mix demand plan by month by Channel by Trade Partner
Track Demand Plan Accuracy
Keep accurate information in the system guaranteeing good communication and reliable outputs
Support Dynamic Forecast process rolling forecast
Active participation in developing the Annual and Quarterly Operational Plan
Revise stock level targets based on DPA and Actual Transit Times
Keep stock within defined parameters
Monitor stock levels Monthly
Monitor and Stock Levels PAR levels set in system for weekly reordering
Track products with low rotation/ no demand
Followup on products to be phasedout / launched
Update demand planning system weekly
Review weekly Dispatch plan & challenge the Dispatch Plan when required
Keep track of in transit quantities
Promotional Activity Stock planning
Promotional Activity reporting
Machine Launch Stock Planning
Accessories Stock Planning

Requirements
At least 5 years of relevant experience
Experience of having worked in a similar capacity of Demand Planner with an International Company
Post tertiary training/ studying in Logistics or Production/ Materials Planning
Use of Information Systems and Information Technology with advanced MS Excel skills
Planning Organizing and Controlling of targets
Negotiation and influencing Skills
Problem Solving and Decision Making
Autonomous/ independent with the abilities to implement Company policies and guidelines
Team Player
