Demand Planner
Overview

A leading chemical company situated in Gauteng is urgently seeking the expertise of an experienced Demand Planner to join their team.

The successful incumbent for this position will be responsible for:

Strategy Development:

Develop inventory strategies for the branch by developing plans that will deliver budgeted working capital requirements. Ensuring that the right stock is on the floor at the right time to maximise sales and minimize stock – outs and close-to-expiry stock. Use insights from the analysis of the past sales and rep forecasts to develop an inventory strategy in order to maximise customer satisfaction, profitable sales and no write-offs.

Analysis and Forecasting:

Analyse current demand and adhere to suitable working targets.

Stock Management:

Track and maintain the level of stock compared to sales, working to quickly turn around products to minimize overstocking and expired stock.

Back Orders:

Track and maintain the level of stock compared to sales, working to quickly turn around products to minimize overstocking and expired stock.

Stock Take:

Be accountable for and manage monthly and perpetual stock takes. Track and manage ageing stock to ensure there are no stock write-offs due to products expiring.

Administration:

All documentation is to be maintained to company standards.

Key requirements:

Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain or Finance. 5 years experience in a similar industry.
